Fundamentals as opposed to technique-by-technique template to encourage individual game development with critical and rational thinking
Introduction stage
Objective is for everyone in class to be able to demonstrate and work the movement in a manner that is technically correct when no resistance is being applied. And every student should understand why/how the movement is meant to work.
Isolation stage
This is the stage where students acquire the critical element of timing. Timing is not gained from repetitions without resistance, the ‘aliveness’ in the drill contributes to acquiring timing.
Integration stage
This is the context phase where you put what you have learnt into practice. Any Q and A at the end of class should apply some critical thinking and self discovery.
